BABY'S FIRST CHRISTMAS!!
A Christmas video from the Shaw's:
Merry Christmas
The family went to candle light service on Christmas Eve. It was baby's first time in big church. There were lots of kids making a little noise but Matthew stayed quiet, only a few gurgles and coos. He liked the singing but not the clapping. Christmas morning we got up early but soon after Matthew and mom took a nap. All the excitement got to us. We hope you had an exciting time too.
Our little baby had the honor of playing baby Jesus at our church. We'll be putting that one on his resume. Mom and Dad played Mary and Joseph, of course.

Christmas Eve
It’s Christmas Eve!
Last night we had our luminaries and the weather was great. The streets were lined with lights. Inside we listened to baby Christmas music and watched Matthew looking at the tree and cooing. Today we are getting ready for the Candle Light service at church tonight. We’ll have to see if he’ll sing or sleep through it. Our pastor always says it’s a good thing to hear the little ones singing in church (he is very kind because we have a nursery where they can sing too).

3 Days
Hello Family and Friends
Tonight our neighborhood has luminaries, a lighted celebration of Christmas. Everyone in the neighborhood puts out candles in white bags along the road. The last time we had the luminaries it poured on the candles and it was a soggy mess but very pretty before the rain came. This year should be clear and cool (no snow, yet!).

Christmas is coming
We are getting ready for Christmas and having lots of fun with the little one. We picked out a Christmas tree a few weeks ago. Then all helped decorate it. The little one was in charge of decorations. He did a great job.
4 weeks old now and an active little thing. We call him our little wiggle worm. He likes to move his arms all over, especially above his head like his football team just made a touchdown and kicks his little legs (he’ll be a runner like his dad).
He sleeps good at night (between feedings) and sometimes during the day he’ll skip a nap and be up 6-8 hours. The first time he did it I thought he would catch up on sleep the next day, but no he did it again. So that’s just how he is. The doctor said at his 2 week visit, “he’s very alert”. That’s a good thing.
He has started to smile at silly sounds, so the baby sends everyone a big smile
